Weather is taking the world by storm!
Field of Noise would like to introduce one of our first artist, Weather TheMusic
Weather is a whirlwind of music brought to you by the sounds of the changing and unexpected world of today. The music represents the lyrical aspects of Bob Dylan, with a voice compared to the raspy Janis Joplin and to the powerful Grace Slick (Jefferson Airplane), along with the tortured souls of Fiona Apple and Linda Perry (4 Non Blondes).
However, a different element emerges with the lower bass tones of the guitar, the use of the Theremin, and of the harmonica. With a simplistic collaboration of the bass drum, the music creates an atmosphere filled with love, struggle, and humanity. It is as if the music were growing from a concrete parking lot with the intent of turning into a forest.
With Weathers thundering presence she delivers an unpredictable performance for all. She is currently playing at local Los Angeles venues, as well as benefits.
This past June Weather had a one week tour in New York City. She performed at The Bitter End, The Friars Club, Arlene's Grocery, and the 2010 National Puerto Rican Day Parade to name a few.
This past October, Weather debuted her first album "Animal", which she recorded in Santa Cruz, California by Michael Konopka. She donated a percentage of her album sales at her record release to Mr. Holland's Opus Foundation to help give underprivileged children an opportunity to play an instrument.
Weather signed with new found management based in the United Kingdom, Elijah Wolfenheart of Ghost Trains and was able to tour this past May in England! With performance's that took place at The Icarus Club in London, Fat Cats in Stoke-On-Trent, and The Acoustic Festival of Britain in Uttoxeter. While Weather was in England she was able to play sets on BBC Radio Stoke and 6 Towns Radio, live from Stoke-On-Trent. She was honored to be able to expose her music to another country!
While in England Weather recorded a new live E.P. titled, "Our Mutual Friend" live from Stoke-On-Trent! It was recorded by the amazing Tim Ellis of Ghost Trains! It is set to debut later this fall.
After the completion of Weather's tour in England, she has embraced a new frontier with her sound - blues! Starting this past August Weather has been rehearsing with a blues band, new material is on the way, and look out for them at upcoming performances this fall.
Weather is looking forward to this January when the cancer documentary, "TUMOR" will premiere, as she is honored to have a song in the end credits. Weather is ready to take the world by storm!
